Fan of the Real Futbal

I don't have a lot of hobbies, but I have spent a lot of my life on a soccer field. As my life has changed, I've found that watching traditional futbal is a lot more interesting than American football.

Meet Stephanie

Stephanie started her career in event planning with an internship at a Department of Energy National Laboratory, Jefferson Lab, located in Newport News, VA. She spent 1.5 years as a full-time student with a part-time position, learning the ins and outs of government conferences and meetings. After graduation from Old Dominion University with her Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Tourism Management, Stephanie was hired full-time at Jefferson Lab into a Public Affairs position. She handled all on-site tours of the facility. After 6 months in that position, there was an opening in the event planning department, and Stephanie shifted into her full-time career as an Event Planner. Throughout the 10 year career at Jefferson Lab, Stephanie learned every aspect of the job. She handled logistics, contracts, budgets, catering and everything in between. When the opportunity for a move to eventPower fell into her lap, she was excited about the opportunity to expand on her knowledge and learn more about the events industry.

Fun Facts

Would you rather vacation on the beach or in the mountains?

Definitely at the beach! My husband and I actually got married on the beaches of Cozumel. The day after the wedding, we took our families on a wonderful snorkel boat trip, and then we spent our honeymoon days scuba diving. The underwater world is so serene!

What is your "go to" karaoke song?

Journey, Don't Stop Believin'

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Mint Chocolate Chip, but only if the ice cream is green!

When you were 16, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Hard to remember exactly, but likely a band teacher. I was very active with my high school band (marching, concert and indoor drumline), and spent all my extra time around my band buddies (including eating lunch in the band room everyday). And one time, in band camp....
