Dog Mom
I am an unashamed "dog mom" to a 2-year-old Golden Retriever named Coach. Coach has been known to make appearances on video calls when he is trying to steal things off my desk or has decided it is time for me to take him to walk with his neighborhood dog friends.
Meet Katie
Katie is a graduate of The University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies with a concentration in Global Politics and Economics. Her passion for events developed during high school and college while she served as a volunteer for a number of fundraising events. Katie spent the last 10 years working in events with a national non-profit before joining the eventPower team in 2023 as a Project Manager.
Fun Facts
What are some things you think everyone should try at least once in their lifetime? Why?
Before Coach, I was an avid dog foster with an average of 50 puppies (and sometimes their mom) coming through my home each year. Most people think they couldn't foster, but it is such a rewarding experience. I wish more people would try it!
What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
Outside of spending time with Coach and my boyfriend, I really enjoy watching anything on Bravo. I know it is terrible, but mindless TV is my favorite way to relax and unwind.
What sports team do you root for?
I will always root for the Tennessee Volunteers and any team my boyfriend is coaching.
What is the quirkiest thing about you?
Coca-Cola is my event drink of choice. So much so that I will bring my own if the venue does not serve it.
